Our Programme
SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Promoting inclusion, independence and equal participation through creative, strengths‑based programmes that empower individuals with disabilities to live with dignity and purpose.
1. FOCUS AREA
This programme focuses on empowering people with disabilities to participate fully in their communities through applied theatre, psychosocial support, skills development, advocacy and referral to essential services.
Our approach is person‑centred, strengths‑based and rooted in inclusion, equality and human rights.
2. THE NEED
People with disabilities continue to face significant barriers that limit their participation and quality of life, including:
Stigma and discrimination, and social exclusion
Limited access to inclusive programmes and activities
Poverty and unemployment
Mental health challenges and isolation
Communication barriers and inaccessible environments
Lack of skills development and life opportunities
Limited representation in community spaces
3. TARGET GROUPS
We work with adults with disabilities aged 18 years and older.
Priority will be given to:
Persons with physical, sensory, intellectual or psychosocial disabilities
Individuals facing multiple barriers such as poverty, unemployment, social isolation or limited access to services
Individuals motivated to participate in the programme activities
4. OUR TEAM
Our multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in social work, applied theatre, community development and programme management. The team includes:
Programme Manager – Overall leadership, strategy and partnerships
Social Workers – Psychosocial support, assessments and referrals
Applied Theatre Facilitators – Workshops, creative development and performancest
Community Development Worker – Community mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and awareness
Admin & M&E Officer – Administration, monitoring, evaluation and reporting
Volunteers – Supporting facilitators and events
